I just want to give a quick update to the blog, to thank everyone for voting for my entry!! I missed the email notification and was taken completely by surprise when scrolling through the winners announcements! I was so shocked, humbled, and thankful to have placed in the challenge. This entry was particularly meaningful to both my family and myself, and I really am so very thankful for the support and our sponsor from the June 2021 Soap Challenge Club: Voyageur Soap and Candle Co. https://www.voyageursoapandcandle.com/.
Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a Scottish artist famous for his unique art deco architecture, stained glass, furniture, paintings, household items, and more. He designed the architecture of a Glasgow Art School building that was sadly destroyed in a fire. The rebuilding and restoration of the building is in progress. When I read that this month’s challenge would be to create stained glass window soap, the only choice for me was to make a Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired soap.
